5th Annual Wreath Laying and MLK Day of Reflection Place:  The MLK Memorial on the Mall

The Memorial Foundation, Inc., Faith in Politics, Impact, Asian American Lead School and Majic 102 host the 5th Annual Wreath Laying Ceremony and Day of Reflection and Reconciliation at the MLK Memorial on the Mall.

WASHINGTON, DC – The Memorial Foundation, Inc., the foundation responsible for building the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial on the National Mall, Impact, Faith and politics, Asian American Lead School and Radio One’s Majic 102 have united to present an inspiring day of Reflection and Reconciliation at the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial. Dr. Kings Holiday will mark the Memorial’s Fifth anniversary of paying tribute to Dr. King by having prayer and a wreath laying ceremony we look forward to celebrating through this free and public event to recognize Dr. Kings Holiday and a day of Reflection and Reconciliation.

This has become an Annual event that residents in the DC metro area look forward to attending every January as they reflect on what the MLK Memorial exemplifies in their everyday lives.” said Harry E. Johnson, Sr., President and CEO, The Memorial Foundation. “This day of reflection is another example of how the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial is a living, breathing beacon for the principles of democracy, justice, hope and love.
